They will pick you up from your hotel at 4:00 am to head to Ollantaytambo, where the train station is located. From here, it’s a 90-minute train ride to the town of Machu Picchu at 2000 meters above sea level, located in the cloud forest, where our guide will be waiting for you to take the bus. Then, we will head for 30 minutes until we reach the Machu Picchu archaeological park, which is located at 2430 meters above sea level.
Upon arriving at the Machu Picchu citadel, after passing through the control, we will start the guided tour, which is the perfect opportunity to learn about the history of the Incas. While enjoying exotic views of mountains, fantastic valleys, snow-capped mountains, and the Urubamba River.
After the tour, you will have free time to visit Machu Picchu on your own in the urban area at an appropriate time. You will take the Machu Picchu bus to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included), where you will have free time to visit the town or the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes (optional). In the afternoon at the indicated time, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where you will meet the driver and return to the city of Cusco. Your return will be directly to your hotel.
